Our Family
My name is Jade, I'm a 27-year-old mum of two wonderful girls (Kairi and Naminé who are 2 and 4). We live in Ely with my husband Ryan and our Miniature Poodle Coco.

About the Blog
In 2014 I was planning for our first family holiday abroad. My brain whizzed round with hundred of questions. What was the law on breastfeeding in France? Would my girls be too young to ride anything in Disneyland? Could I get hold of nappies easy if I ran out? I took to Google but had no luck, the questions I really needed answering (like 'What can my child ride at Disney?') just didn’t have any answers out there yet.
Fortunately, our trip was amazing, we loved every second and came home excited to book more. However part of me felt sad that the countdown to our trip, the time that’s supposed to be exciting and fun, had been shadowed by this big black cloud of questions. It was then I knew I wanted to change this, I needed to share the information I know knew to stop other people from feeling this way.
So in early 2015 Mummies Waiting changed direction. I started writing new posts and filming vlogs with a passion to share my experiences and help others. What had started as blog to document my children’s lives had become a quest to help other parents enjoy every second of their own adventure.
Blog launched in 2011.
Own domain purchased December 2014.
Target audience
Our readers are parents and grandparents (split equally between male and females) aged 18-34. They are looking for real-life reviews, information and ways to make their holidays perfect and lives stress-free. Our readers depend on us to share our honest opinions on the products we review and places we visit. They enjoy learning new experiences through products and travel vlogs.
Meet Lucy (She's our ideal reader)
Lucy Winters is 28 years old and Married to Tim. They live in Cornwall along with the 2 children Alex aged 6 and Marie aged 4. Lucy works part time as a manager in retail and when she is not working she is spending time with her children and researching their next trip away, including what products to use. Lucy loves to get away and will regularly have days out to a local zoo or city and snap lots of pictures to upload to Instagram. Her friends would tell you she will usually be found browsing Facebook or 'Whatsapp'ing them about the new products for the kids or travel that she has found.

Thinking about a Vlog or Instastories?
I love to do vlogs and Instastories to really show products off. A picture may say 1000 words, but a video can say so much more.
Here is our More 2 Explore - Adventure Belt day in the life. I wanted to show our followers exactly how helpful the belt can be with both children and how easy it is to use.

'I saw a blog on spotted in Ely written by Jade and so then I went on to look at the Mummies Waiting web page. I took a brave step and then contacted Jade to see if she would be interested in attending my Mini Professors classes with her two young girls and write a blog on the classes. I hadn't met Jade before but I was just starting my small business so thought it was worth an ask. Email communication flowed really well and the date was arranged for Jade and her girls Kairi and Naminé to attend my class. We met in person just before the class and it was a lovely encounter.
