A perfect day at Walt Disney World at Christmas!
Ahh Walt Disney World, not only is it a magical play but the smell of 'Florida Water' is one you won't forget! This week with have the wonderful Steph talking all about her perfect day at Walt Disney World at Christmas!
First things first, what time are you waking up, how and where are you?
We would be waking up with a 630 alarm set on the mobile, in one of the Disney luxury resort rooms - preferably Contemporary. We'd be heading for Early Magic Hours in the park.
Who is with you and are you a planner?
It'd be me and my teen daughter, and we are both planners but also both like to go with the flow - a flexible plan!
Now it’s breakfast time, what are you eating?
A hotel breakfast; continental for me and maybe a bagel or waffle for teen.
Okay, so it’s time to head off to the parks, which one are you heading to and how are you getting there? Are you doing anything on the way?
We'd head to Magic Kingdom, walking or catching the monorail from the hotel (does anyone ever walk it?!). We'd be admiring the views and checking the FastPass situation on our phones at the same time.
You’re in! Whats the first thing you do?
A castle photo! And maybe look for a Photo Pass photographer. We've never done that before so not sure how it works.
Whats on your hit list for the morning?
All the big rides; Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, then Peter Pan, Small World and Pirates of the Carribean. Maybe a quick snack of a Mickey Pretzel.
It’s lunch time where are you eating and what are you ordering?
A Casey's hot dog with mac n cheese and bacon fries for teen and an Earl of Sandwich tuna panini for me.
Whats on the plan for the afternoon?
Haunted mansion and Jungle Cruise, then watch the new Celebration parade and a character meet with Mickey and Minnie.
What Disney snack are you getting to get rid of the 3pm twangs?
A Mickey waffle with icing sugar and chocolate sauce.
The parade has been, night is falling, what MUST you get a picture of in the dark?
The castle, of course! A few hundred clicks should do it...
Whats on your evening plans?
A quick park hop to Hollywood Studios, Pizza Rizzo Pizza followed by one last go on the Tower of Terror, then watch the Fantasmic light show.
What did you buy today?
A Winnie The Pooh soft toy and a Mickey T-shirt
Whats the last thing you do before you say goodnight?
Chat about how good the next day will be!
I'm Steph, mum to two girls now aged 13 and 11. Our youngest girl is autistic and I started my blog www.stephstwogirls.co.uk over nine years ago, the day we got her diagnosis. I write about all sorts - general family life with a sprinkling of info about her type of autism which is called Pathological Demand Avoidance. Our eldest girl is a huge Disney fan; we visited Florida four years ago and have been to Disneyland Paris three times. One time, our eldest girl actually got to dance in the parade with some cast members (photo above)! We love Disney.
