So winter is upon us and after putting up my Christmas tree this week I thought what better idea than to get into my new clothes and have a fashion shoot! Now if you know me, you will know that I will live and die in the same 10 black vest tops and dark coloured jeans which don't get to touch my wardrobe because of how quick they go into the wash and get put back on! So when Simply Be emailed me and asked me if I’d like to try out their new Autumn 2017 range, I knew I just had to try something new!
Red is my colour, my Bujo is red, hair used to be red, I choose red for our wedding (Ryan chose Tardis blue) and If it comes in red, I usually love it (which is so strange as my favourite colour is green!) But red is Christmas, it’s all things happy and joyful in my life, so I knew my first choice had to be a red top. I found this beautiful off one shoulder, long sleeve flowwy top with a neck scarf and popped it into my basket to give it a try. When it turned up, I immediately fell in love, the colour is beautiful, the material is perfect for parties and to wear in the office, I love it.
I paired it off with these skinny leggings, which are so well made that you can’t even tell they are not jeans! Fantastic for those of you like me who want to hide that mum-tum and feel confident. They are really comfy and a great fit too, actually I found all the Simply Be products to be an awesome fit.
My second outfit is this beautiful dark blue sleeveless top (funnily enough our other wedding colour!) which accented the bits I wanted it to and hid those that I didn’t! The top works really well for a professional setting, a casual lunch in town or the toddler group Christmas party. It’s ‘dressy’ but really doesn’t look like you have overdone it!
I paired this was a bootcut jeans and was ready for the day. As a busy mum, I feel that no hassle clothes is exactly what I need! I want to look great but put in minimal effort and with these 2 outfits, that is exactly what I got.
