I had a bit of a dilemma this year, I never leave my girls for more than 2 hours and certainly not at night, so when hubby asked me to come to his works christmas party with him this year I didn't know what to say!

Firstly of all, we never do anything without the girls so how would I know how to have adult conversation?! Secondly I'm a mum, my boxdrobe (nope, not a wardrobe, a box) consists or jeggins and vest tops, so id have nothing to wear! Finally Milk! NaminĂ© wouldn't even take a bottle so even if I could express milk, how am I going to feed her?

Needless to say, I shouldn't have worried so much, I said yes, went and had a wonderful time with my husband. So I thought Id pass on my top tips!

1. DONT wear heels! The last time I wore heels I was probably around 18 and just starting to work with kids (woring with kids is when the flat shoes and high pony tails Jade actually came about! and hasn't left!) I was sure that I was wearing flats, but somehow before I left the house my mum convinced me (along with my daughter) to wear heels... I spent my journey there and back walking barefoot! and in agony while I was there!

2. Try Lindybop! As I mentioned, jeggings and vests means no dresses and I'm also no good at shopping! I feel like nothing looks good on me and I decide not to go! Lindybop however do fab dresses at great prices! They hide fat and accentuate curves, have a variety of sizes and make you feel good! BONUS: They have pockets... no bags to carry!!
3. Have a backup plan, I knew if all else failed, I could get a taxi and be home asap, it helped me to relax so much more!
4. Be yourself... no, not your mummy-self, your self without the kids, talk about food, music, politics and of course mention your little beauties and how much you miss them you're only human!
5. Say bye before you leave, firstly you can tell them your coming back, but secondly, you get moments like this... ' mummy you're a princess'

Best bit, after dinner in peace, a photo of the two of us and a bit of mingling, hubby missed the girls lots too, so we came home early for massive cuddles!!

So what are you're top tips?
